Our caregivers are carefully chosen for their passion and love for young children, and most of all for their warmth and care. They take delight in our children, care for their individual needs and work tirelessly to provide the children with an interesting and safe place for the infant to rest, explore, and develop their abilities.
Toddlers
16 months to 35 months
Our Toddler curriculum is built on the SPICES approach to education. That is, we address the children’s Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, Emotional, and Spiritual development. We provide the social setting to promote healthy self esteem, a sense of responsibility, sensitivity to the needs of others and continued growth in social skill development.
The curriculum incorporates the development of fundamental skills, including: literacy readiness, following directions, visual memory, dramatic play, problem-solving, and self-help skills. Exploration is encouraged and a sense of wonder is cultivated.
In our preschool, young Jewish children receive an exciting and nurturing experience that will provide them with a solid foundation as they grow educationally, socially and spiritually.
Our classes are small with excellent teacher/student ratios, so that your child gets lots of attention.
Your child will receive a well-rounded education of Jewish traditions and values, combined with a wide array of academic subjects, personal development, and socialization and learning skills.
We believe each child is born with a unique set of gifts and talents, which, if properly nourished, will lead to a deeply rewarding, productive life. With this in mind, the Cheder will create a nurturing, child-centered, value-oriented environment dedicated to academic excellence. A uniquely integrated curriculum of General and Jewish studies, combined with hands-on experiences, will guide each student toward the fulfillment of his or her individual potential.
Cheder seeks to offer its students the warmth and love of the traditional Yiddishe cheder, while utilizing modern technology and teaching techniques. Since its founding with five students in 1979, the school’s separate programs for boys and girls (Pre-K-8) have provided an integrated religious and secular education under the guidance of highly qualified teachers in both arenas.
